Welcome to the new AWARE website! AWARE is in need of members and volunteers and we are hoping this website assists in getting the word out to the public about the work that has been done in the watershed. For the past 20 years, AWARE has been working hard to clean up the mine drainage that has impacted the watershed for more than a half century.
Volunteers are needed for:
- Trash Cleanup Events
- Water Monitoring
- Passive Treatment System Maintenance
- Project Assistance
Meetings are held once a month typically at a local restaurant. Recently, meetings have been at Hoss’s Steak and Sea House in Indiana. Please join us and learn more about the organization.
