AWARE is looking for volunteers to participate in a cleanup at the Reeds Run Restoration Area. This trash cleanup is part of the Great American Cleanup, a nationwide effort picking up millions of pounds of litter throughout the United States. Trash will be picked up along Locust Road and within two dumps areas within the Reeds Run Restoration Area. Hundreds of tires have been illegally dumped on the property, which can become breeding grounds for mosquitos carrying West Nile Virus and other diseases. ALL LITTER CAN AND WILL EVENTUALLY REACH OUR WATERWAYS UNLESS WE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
